My husband Jay & I said our "I do's" in December of 2000 and became that classic instafam with a 9 y/o and 3 y/o in tow. These beautiful daughters have been such a gift to me in our family, and I am blessed that they choose to call me mom. We quickly added another beautiful daughter, and then a son to the mix. When he bounced out at 10 lbs. 9 oz during a home birth, I knew our family was complete!

Our children are all grown and have families of their own! As my husband and I are super family focused, we love spending time with our kids and grandkids at the zoo, museums and parks. And of course, our kids love the perks of free babysitting from us!

It is amazing how much diversity is in our wonderful world! I love discovering new places and revisiting favorites with my husband, who just happens to be the best travel buddy. We love exploring the places we visit to learn the local history, visit museums, experience nature, try new foods and more!

One of my biggest passions is taking a weekly language lesson in Bulgarian work on fluency and grammar skills that I learned almost 25 years ago when I lived there. Eastern Europe holds my heart!

I have always wanted to garden, and finally made this dream a reality in 2020 during the pandemic. My husband is just as passionate about gardening, and thankfully keeps everything alive when I forget to water!

My place of solitude is working in our backyard garden with a variety of vegetables, flowers and herbs. Nothing is quite as delicious or fulfilling as a home cooked meal with produce that you’ve grown from seeds.

I wasn't always a reader. In fact, I didn't really begin to pick up books regularly until my late 30's. My husband is the real inspiration behind this as I see him reading 200+ books each year! We have often discussed the books he enjoys, which piques my interest.

In 2021 I hit my all time high of 95 books for the year. I am a HUGE audio book fan, and also listen to a ton of podcasts! My favorite book is Great Expectations. What's yours? I'm always looking for new recommendations.
