Expect my patience and attention to detail to rule the day. I spend the majority of a session perfecting poses, backdrops, fingers, etc. and I believe these little things are what makes the difference between a snapshot and a work of art featuring your baby.

What to Expect During Your Session with a Spring Texas Newborn Photographer

The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second trimester. This allows me to reserve space around your due date, since babies tend to arrive on their own schedule!

Once your little one is here, we'll choose the perfect session date. I only accept a limited number of newborns each month so every family receives a personalized experience.

When should I book my newborn session?

For those sleepy, curled-up newborn portraits, I recommend photographing your baby within the first 5-14 days after birth. During this time, babies are typically sleepier and naturally settle into those adorable poses.

If your baby is older, don't worry! Beautiful newborn images are still possible, and I'll customize the session to match your baby's stage and personality.

How old should my baby be for newborn photos?

Please don't worry—that's completely normal!

Your session is designed around your baby's needs, not the clock. We'll take plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, diaper changes, and soothing whenever needed.

With years of newborn photography experience, I've learned that patience is one of the most important parts of creating beautiful images. My goal is for you to relax while I gently guide the session at your baby's pace.

What if my baby cries or won't sleep?

Absolutely!

Some of my favorite photographs are the quiet moments between a new baby and the people who already love them most.

Family and sibling portraits can be included with my Classic Newborn Session, creating meaningful images you'll treasure for years to come.

Can siblings and parents be included?

Yes! Your session includes access to my carefully curated collection of wraps, blankets, headbands, bonnets, outfits, and timeless props.

Every setup is thoughtfully styled in soft, neutral tones to keep the focus where it belongs—on your beautiful baby. If you have a special heirloom or sentimental item you'd like to incorporate, I'd be happy to include it whenever possible.

Do you provide wraps, props, and accessories?

Every baby is different, so I never rush the experience.

Classic Studio Newborn Session: ~ 3 hours
Petite Studio Newborn Session: ~ 1.5 hours
Micro Studio Newborn Session: ~ 45 minutes

The extra time allows for feeding, cuddling, diaper changes, and plenty of soothing breaks, so you can simply relax while I care for every detail.

How long does a newborn session last?

Absolutely. Your baby's safety is always my highest priority.

I've completed multiple professional safety courses in newborn posing through industry-leading newborn photography educators and continue my education to ensure I'm using the safest techniques throughout every session. Every pose is done gently, with your baby's comfort and well-being guiding every decision.

Some of the beautiful images you see in my portfolio are actually composite images. That means two or more photographs are carefully combined during editing so your baby is fully supported at all times. While the finished image may appear as though your baby is holding a pose independently, they are never left unsupported or placed in an unsafe position.

Your session is always baby-led. If your little one isn't comfortable with a pose, we'll simply move on to something else. My goal is to create timeless portraits while ensuring your baby is safe, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way.
